About The Doctors:
Dr. Richard Griffith graduated from Michigan State University in 1973 with honors as a wildlife biologist. In 1976 he received his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, and began practicing in New Orleans. He returned a year later to Michigan and became the director of Allied Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Dearborn. Dr. Griffith pursued his career and opened Griffith Veterinary Hospital in Westland, and later opened Griffith Veterinary Hospital in Whitmore Lake. On October 17, 2005, Dr. Griffith established Noah’s Ark Pet Hospital in Augusta Township after realizing there was not a veterinary facility available for the township residents. With the opening of Noah’s Ark, he wanted to offer the best pet care possible, with a comfortable setting and affordable prices.
Dr. Griffith is a Vietnam Veteran (1968-1969) and is a 5th degree Tae Kwon Do Master. He has been known to break stacks of 10-one inch concrete slabs with his bare hands. Surprisingly enough, he performs delicate surgery with those very same hands!
Due to Dr. Griffith’s kindhearted nature, Noah’s Ark sponsors children with Compassion International and World Vision. These 6 children are given monetary supplementing, as well as letters and friendship. The same good-hearted nature that he has for children extends to your pets and their care.
Dr. Hayley Gaynor obtained both her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Michigan State University. She has special interest in both soft tissue surgery and exotic species medicine, especially exotic mammals and avian species.
A Michigan native, Dr. Gaynor grew up in Owosso where she was involved in 4-H with her dogs. She continues to compete in agility and obedience with her Shelties, Chase and Finn. She is also owned by Kiwi, a Quaker parrot.
